Are ready the Romanian companies for Feed-In-Tariff ? Started the registrations for the RoEnergy Bucharest Trade Fair, V-th edition, in 6 - 8 May 2015

Organizers of the International Trade Fair RoEnergy Bucharest, the most important industry event of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency from Romania, opened the registrations and campaign promotion  for the next RoEnergy edition in Bucharest , which will take place from 6 to 8 May 2015, at ROMAERO Hall, Baneasa, district  1, Bucharest.

Among  the main novelty is distinguished a more focused promotion on areas that make up the RoEnergy  portfolio: RoEnergy # SOLAR, RoEnergy # BIOMASS, RoEnergy # BIOGAS, RoEnergy # HYDROPOPWER, RoEnergy # WINDPOWER, RoEnergy # Energy Independence.

Besides the exhibition, under the RoEnergy "umbrella"  will be held a series of related events among which: conferences, roundtables, workshops, raffle, etc.
Are you active in solar, biomass, biogas, cogeneration, hydropower or wind energy?
Stay up to date with trends from each area through the RoEnergy newsletter (subscribe  on www.roenergy.eu)

RoEnergy#SOLAR: photovoltaic systems up to 0.5 MW, PV parks operation and maintenance, energy storage, thermal systems, energy infrastructure, etc.

From 2015, in Romania starts a new energy revolution

After the solar and wind farms boom, in Romania is expected to begin the real energy revolution: energy production in small plants for the own use, with the possibility of delivering  the excess energy into the grid. By the new subsidy system, called  feed-in tariff, the energy consumer turns into energy producer.

Arrived at the V-th edition, until presently, at each of preceding events, the RoEnergy Trade Fair brought together exhibitors from three continents (Europe, Asia and North America), along with experts, researchers, decision makers from RES industry, professional associations , government representatives, ministers, businessmen and media.

€50 million loan to Turkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is extending its first credit line under its Sustainable Resource Initiative (SRI) with a €50 million loan to Turkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası A.S. (TSKB), the first privately-owned development and investment bank incorporated in Turkey.

TSKB will on-lend the funds to private sector companies for the financing of resource efficiency investments, including water efficiency, waste minimisation and energy efficiency projects.

The EBRD’s first credit line dedicated to resource efficiency ever builds on the Bank’s extensive experience in financing energy efficiency improvements through partnerships with financial institutions. In many countries where it operates, and in Turkey specifically, the EBRD is at the forefront of efforts towards energy and resource efficiency.

Sylvia Gansser-Potts, EBRD Director for Financial Institutions, Southern and Eastern Mediterranean and Turkey, said at the signing: “We are delighted to support TSKB’s efforts to promote resource efficiency financing through its tailored lending products. By providing financing to companies for resource efficiency projects, the EBRD contributes to their sustainable development and to the improvement of the overall competitiveness of the Turkish economy.”

Mike Davey, EBRD Director, Turkey, added: “We are pleased to expand our cooperation with TSKB in such an important area. We are particularly happy that TSKB serves as a pioneer in the banking sector with steps towards introducing resource efficiency finance as a standard lending product.”

Turkish businesses are facing growing resource efficiency challenges regarding the use of water and energy as well as the management of waste. Turkey’s growing population, expanding economy and continuing urbanisation, together with the impacts of climate change, are placing pressure on the country’s water and energy resources. At the same time, the expansion in industrial production and consumer demand is resulting in increasing levels of pollution and waste generation.

“Resource efficiency investments have become more important in an environment where we are witnessing an appetite for low-carbon growth and sustainable development.  The credit line extended by EBRD to TSKB is a strong indicator of EBRD’s trust in the knowledge and experience of our Bank in the field of financing sustainable investments” said Orhan Beşkök, TSKB’s Senior Executive Vice President.

“This EBRD loan will support TSKB in scaling up dedicated financing for Turkish businesses by scaling-up resource efficiency technologies and practices within the Turkish market and spreading them across the industrial sector helping companies to save their precious resources, using them in a more effective way and cutting their expenses. This will make them more competitive in the long run,” said Terry McCallion, EBRD Director for Energy Efficiency and Climate Change.

The EBRD’s Sustainable Resource Initiative was launched in May 2013 to promote efficiency and innovation and to enhance competitiveness across the countries where it invests. Sustainable energy and resource efficiency are also key EBRD priorities in Turkey.

To date, the Bank has invested more than €1.7 billion in Turkey’s sustainable energy. Since the beginning of its operations in Turkey in 2009, the EBRD has invested over €4 billion in the country in 126 projects, both in direct deals and through credit lines.

Romania : Energy Efficiency Through Cogeneration

Econet Romania organises in collaboration with REECO, international trade fair and conference organiser for renewable energy all over Europe the International Conference - Energy Efficiency Through Cogeneration, on the 20th of November 2014 at the Palace Hall in Bucharest. The conference will focus on cogeneration in the energy and industry sector, offering information about the most important subjects as well as giving best practice examples. Between the experts you can find important companies as Steag, Siemens, Bosch that offer complex consulting for energy production, distribution and consumption and legal and financing advisers as TPA Horwath or RoSEFF.

Cogeneration is the simultaneous production, in one process, of thermal, electric and / or mechanic energy. The production of high efficient cogeneration achieves primary energy savings of at least 10% compared with the reference values for the separate production of electric and thermal energy.

Since 2009, to support high efficiency cogeneration process, a support scheme has been introduced in Romania that involves a bonus offered for each MWh of electric energy delivered in network. For getting benefits from the support scheme, producers of electric and thermal energy in high efficient cogeneration, have to ask the National Authority Regulation (ANRE). Manufacturers can benefit from this scheme until 2023, for a period not exceeding 11 consecutive years.

Producers of electric and thermal energy in cogeneration, from renewable energy sources are able to choose either this scheme, either a support scheme for the promotion of the electric energy produced from renewable energy sources.

Registration hire.
