The fifth edition of the Gala Awards organized by will put a full point to the business rush of the year, to open the holiday season, and start on dreaming on the daring plans for 2018!

Once again in the sophisticated premises of the National Military Center, in Bucharest, we will point to the performers of the year. All the sectors – electricity, O&G, renewables, thermo, and mining, and all the themes – energy efficiency, smart energy, M&A, investments, will be revealed in the right light and in cold balance. More is still to be said and done. Thus the theme of the 2017 Awards Gala is “More”.

Since 2017, the energynomics Awards has as its primary role to provide the energy community in Romania with successful models, aspirational benchmarks and case studies from exceptional organizations and personalities.

Altogether, the energynomics Awards 2017 aims to highlight the achievements of the energy sector for a better visibility to the business partners and general public.

The Jury

To select the winners, the jury will examine each application based on three fundamental principles.

SUCCESS – the proposals should prove commercial success in the activity sector of the respective company.
IMPACT – the proposals must have measurable impact on the energy sector, upon the community or the economy as a whole.
INNOVATION – the proposals should have introduced the Romanian energy sector with certain products / services / innovative business practices which contribute to the healthy development of the business.

30 million USD financing package to boost energy-efficient and renewable energy investments

The EBRD and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are planning to support energy-efficient and renewable energy investment in Egypt through a financing package to ALEXBANK in the amount of up to US$ 30 million under the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) for Egypt. The EBRD is providing a financing facility of up to US$ 15 million to ALEXBANK for on-lending to private companies for energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects. The EIB is expected to join the facility with an additional US$ 15 million in financing at a later stage and to team up with EBRD to further strengthen sustainable energy measures in Egypt.

The finance line is the third extended under GEFF Egypt, a comprehensive programme for sustainable energy investment through financial institutions, supported by a €23.3 million grant provided by the European Union Neighbourhood Investment Facility .

Comprehensive technical assistance will provide support to ALEXBANK in the design of business development tools and the successful implementation of the energy-efficiency and small-scale renewable energy facility.
